Abstract：In this paper,an empirical analysis is presented for the technical efficiency with its influencing factors and regional differences of the export trade with stochastic frontier production function for the Yangtze River Delta in 1996—2010.The results showed that the irrational industrial structure,the low factor endowments in the K/L ratio,and the high trade liberalization had more negative impacts on the technical efficiency of the trade in Yangtze River Delta,while the foreign direct investment(FDI)had positive effects through technical spillovers.
