Abstract：This paper reviews recent research on economic benefits for science and technology prizes in China and overseas.Then it carries out an empirical analysis on economic benefits data of university science and technology prizes from 2006 to 2010.The results indicate that science and technology prizes of university plays a positive role in promoting transform of scientific research production for university.At the same time,the shortages of current policies are revealed and some suggestions are given.
