Abstract：It is very important to analyze the motives of production-education-research strategic alliance and influences on alliance performance correctly and objectively.This paper aims to analyze the mechanism that the motives of production-education-research strategic alliance influencing the alliance performance by the quantitative research method and qualitative research method on the base of surveying 139 member units.The survey objects include one hundred thirty-nine numbers of the thirty-three production-education-research strategic alliances in Guangdong Province.The research results showed that the stronger the alliance motives are in building innovation team,improving the RD level,getting the superior resources,and building the competitive advantage,the better the alliance performance will be.
