Innovating Motivation of Firms:From a Spurring of Market Demand——Based on a Questionnaire Analysis of the Full Sample of National Innovation-oriented Enterprises

Abstract:In order to make sure of characteristics and tendency of technology innovation of firms in China,we have finished a full sample questionnaire on national innovation-oriented enterprises.This paper is one of three reports on the survey analysis.Based on the questionnaire analysis,we find that market demand has been the first most important spurring factor for innovation-oriented enterprises to motivate innovation,followed by technology push,the second most important spurring factor.Policy guiding and promoting is less important than technology push,while it plays a important role on firm innovation,especially in chemical industry and machinery manufacturing industry.What's more,some suggestions,such as demand-side innovation policy and creating a demand for firms innovation,are put forward in order to promote innovation.
