Abstract:Based on the China's 31 provinces panel data and SFA model, this paper measures the performance of China's telecommunications industry, and comprehensively analyzes its evolution trend. Then it gives an empirical test on the impacts of network convergence, regional environmental differences in economic and other control variables on industry performance. The study finds that the overall performance of China's telecom industry is low and regional differences are significant. From the view of evolution of trends, performance of the telecommunications industry in different regions tends to improve. On the three models considered in this paper, network convergence has significant positive impact on the performance of telecommunications industry.Regional economic environmental factors is on the contrary, and the impacts of different regulatory reform measures is not the same direction
