Abstract：This paper analyzes the connotation of the industry-university-research institute collaborative innovation and proposes the framework of it.It constructs the industry-university- research institute collaborative innovation network of Jiangsu province based on the social network analysis.We analyze the structural characteristics of the networks,finding that the relationship closeness between innovation subjects has a large room to be improved.Nanjing University,Southeast University,Nanjing University of Science and Technology and other universities,institute affiliated to Chinese Academy of Sciences and Nanjing city have competitive advantages.The collaborative innovation network of the new energy industry is most close,the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry followed by.The collaborative innovation network of the equipment manufacturing industry has the loosest relationship between subjects.At last,we propose some suggestions to promote collaborative innovation of the industry-university-research institute
