Abstract：The authors take companies of China as the research sample,focusing on “how technological ability influences latecomer firms technological catching-up”.We draw a conclusion that the relationship of technological innovation ability and technological catching-up on the perspective of latecomer firms from emerging industrialized countries. And we put forward evolutionary views of technological catching-up strategy,technological catching-up path and technology innovation ability. We find that manufacturing industrys technological catching-up path selection is due to the process of technical capability promotion.
