Industrial R&D Input Structure Oriented by the R&D Efficiency

Abstract:By analyzing the structure of R&D investment from both sources-structure and using-structure perspectives,this paper builds up the input-output index system for evaluating the R&D efficiency and the ideal structure of R&D investment.Beside that,this paper constructs the improved DEA model and makes an empirical study based on both cross sectional and panel R&D data of equipment manufacturing industry in China.The result of the empirical study shows that,the R&D investment of Chinese equipment manufacturing industry is obviously insufficient,and the structure of R&D investment is not reasonable.According to the empirical study result,this paper puts forward the ideal structure of R&D investment of Chinese equipment manufacturing industry for DEA efficient.At last,this paper gives the suggestions for promoting the R&D efficiency of equipment manufacturing industry,such as increasing the R&D investment scale and the government R&D investment.
