Abstract:Based on principles of the Solow residual method,the paper measures factors contribution of Chinese economic growth from 1953 to 2013 by a new method of estimating output elasticity.The conclusion shows that,at present,the physical capital is the main power to promote the growth of Chinese economy,the dividend that economic growth relies on the quantity of labors has been gradually disappear,the contribution rate of scientific and technological progress are also falling.So the task of transformation of the pattern of economic development is very urgent,the government should focus on the role of technological innovation,effectively raise the conversion of scientific and technological achievements and laborer quality promotion,maintaining moderate capital investment scale is able to promote a certain scale economic growth.
