Abstract：In this article,frontier explorations in developed countries in the field of third-party S&T evaluation,such as providing quantitative evidences,rapid-cycle evaluation,impact evaluation,and supporting policy-making,have been analyzed.Based on Chinese situation,suggestions on promoting third-party S&T evaluation in China have been proposed.Key words:Third-party S&T evaluation;Policy-making;Rapid-cycle evaluation;Impact evaluation
