Manufacturing Agglomeration,Technological Innovation and Industrial Differences

Abstract：Based on the panel data of Chinese manufacturing industries from 2005 to 2012,this paper explores the impact of manufacturing agglomeration on technological innovation and its industrial differences.The results show that the manufacturing agglomeration promotes the technological innovation significantly on overall.Industry-specific analysis reveals that impact of industrial agglomeration on technological innovation of inter-industrial are different:the industrial agglomeration of most mechanical & electronics manufacturing industry and textile manufacturing industry can help to promote technological innovation,while the industrial agglomeration of part of resource processing industry inhibits the industrial technological innovation on a certain extent.No matter from the aspect of static analysis or from the aspect of dynamic analysis,all the results are valid
