The Relationship Between Seed Industry Export Trade and the Breeding Technology Innovation in China

Abstract：Based on the inner relationship between seed industry export trade and breeding technology innovation,the article uses breeding authorized patent to measure breeding technology innovation,and analyses the time series data of seed industry export trade and breeding technology innovation from 1992 to 2012 in the simultaneous equations system regression estimate method.The results show that the breeding technology innovation has a significant role in promoting seed industry export trade development in China,but seed industry export trade's promotion effect for breeding technology innovation is not significant.According to the results,this article suggested that China should not only strengthen the export competitiveness through independent innovation ability,but also increase the breeding technological exchange with foreign developed countries,in order to increase the seed industry export trade's promotion effect for breeding technological innovation.
