Abstract:Using statistics from 2008 to 2013,through the methods of statistical analysis and location quotient based on ArcGIS,the paper studies the spatial organization evolution of cultural industries in Jiangsu from two aspects which are distribution status and spatial evolution respectively. Results show that,single-center ranked discrepancy and prominent resource-endowment effect are main characteristics within distribution status, while spatial evolution typically presents regional differentiation and industrial heterogeneity. For the industry as a whole, the agglomeration level cultural industries spatial organization declines within south Jiangsu, rises within central Jiangsu, and maintains a low level within north Jiangsu. The spatial structure is changing from“one-core,one-group,multi-nodes”to“one-core,one-zone,two-poles,multi-nodes”.In term of different sections, culture manufacture industry, the new culture industry and the old one have similarity with the whole industries in agglomeration trends. As for spatial evolution, the former two industries have no distinct changes, while the latter one have changed from“one-core,two-poles,multi-nodes”to“one-core,one-group,multi-nodes”.
