Abstract:The paper used statistical data from 285 cities in China,to study the spatial correlation and co-location between manufacturing industry and producer service industry by using spatial correlation analysis and spatial simultaneous equations.The results showed that there was significant global positive spatial autocorrelation and local spatial agglomeration effect between manufacturing agglomeration and producer service industry agglomeration in Chinese cities,and it meant that manufacturing industry and producer service industry had positive spatial correlation in location choice.There was two-way mechanism between manufacturing agglomeration and producer service industry agglomeration.It indicated that manufacturing industry and producer service industry had co-location relationship.Manufacturing agglomeration and producer service industry agglomeration in the city were closely related to surrounding cities,manufacturing agglomeration and producer service industry agglomeration in surrounding cities could affect manufacturing agglomeration and producer service industry agglomeration in the city through spatial spillover.
