Abstract：Based on the relevant data of industrial upgrading level from 1988 to 2017,this paper empirically studied the regional differences and distribution dynamics of industrial upgrading levels in three major regions of China by using Dagum Gini Coefficient,Kernel Density Estimation and Spatial Markov Chain.The conclusions of the study are as follows:the industrial upgrading level in the whole country and sub-regions shows an overall upward trend;the upgrading level is significantly different,with the largest intra-regional variation in eastern area and the largest inter-regional variation between eastern and central areas;intra-regional gap and inter-regional gap,absolute and relative differences,and the evolutionary path of polarization trends are also not consistent;the upgrading level is significantly affected by the neighborhood environment.On this basis,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to reverse the imbalanced situation of China's industrial upgrading level.
