Abstract:The university science park is an important platform and support for implementing the innovation-driven development strategy,promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements,serving the implementation of the “double innovation”policy,and strengthening the cultivation of innovative talents.Based on different scales of the country,region,and province,using spatial analysis and data statistics methods,this paper explores the spatiotemporal evolution mechanism and characteristics of the national university science park,and conducts a preliminary evaluation of the development performance.The study found that the development of university science parks has significant phase characteristics.1988—2008 is the initial stage,2008—2014 is the rapid development stage,2014—2018 it presents stable development trend.There is significant spatial heterogeneity in the spatial distribution characteristics.National university science parks are mainly distributed in the eastern economically developed areas.The regional imbalance in development performance is more prominent.The performance of enterprises in the eastern region is much higher than that of the central and western regions and the northeastern region.However,the conversion efficiency of human resources and technical resources of the universities in the region is lower than that of the northeast region.The western region is underdeveloped but has huge potential.The research results help to deepen the understanding of university science parks,promote the development efficiency,and provide decision-making basis for the policy optimization of national university science parks.
