Research on the Impact of Organizational Inertia on the Digital Transformation of Manufacturing Enterprises from the Perspective of Dynamic Capability

Abstract:Based on a large sample survey data of manufacturing enterprises,this paper empirically studies the impact of organizational inertia(OI)on the digital transformation(DT)of enterprises,and analyzes the moderating effect of knowledge inertia(KI)and the mediating role of dynamic capabilities(DC).The results show that OI has a negative effect on DT of enterprises.Learning inertia(LI)has a negative moderating effect on the relationship between OI and DC,while experiential inertia(EI)has no significant moderating effect on the relationship between OI and DC.DC has a partial mediating effect on the relationship between OI and DT of enterprises.The research results not only have theoretical enlightenment for deepening the research on the relationship between OI and DT of firms,but also have important practical guiding significance for reducing the negative impact of OI,accelerating the DT of Chinese manufacturing enterprises and promoting high-quality development.
