Abstract:This paper constructs a model of driving factors of manufacturing servitization transformation based on the“Technology-Organization-Environment”(TOE)theoretical framework.The paper applies the fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparison Analysis(fsQCA)method to analyze the complex cause-effect relationship of multi-factor servitization transformation by taking 28 representative manufacturing enterprises in China as samples.The paper draws the following conclusions.①Product technology upgrade,digital platform construction,enterprise strategy transformation,talent system construction,enterprise competitive pressure and customer demand change are not necessary conditions for manufacturing servitization transformation,and single factor does not explain manufacturing servitization transformation strongly.②There are four configuration paths driving manufacturing servitization transformation,which can be divided into three types,namely the collaboration-oriented path under technology-organization-environment dominant logic,the organization collaboration path under technology-environment dominant logic,and the technology collaboration path under organization-environment dominant logic.Three types of configuration paths can effectively realize manufacturing servitization transformation.The conclusions help to reveal the mechanism of action among multiple factors for the evolution of manufacturing servitization transformation,and provide useful practical inspiration for the transformation and high-level development of manufacturing servitization in China under the background of digital economy.
