Enterprise-Level Big Data Innovation Capability and Interaction Mechanism:the Perspective of Innovation Value Chain

Abstract:Based on the innovation value chain theory,and taking the data value formation as the starting point,we explore the interaction mechanism of big data innovation capability structure and components through multiple cases.Results show the big data innovation capabilities can be deconstructed into three major capabilities named as idea generation,idea conversion and idea diffusion capability and they are linked in sequence to constitute the process of big data innovation and data value formation.The idea generation capability is the ability that enterprise should have when the innovative concept is formed and the value of big date is nurtured,including big data resources,big data mind,perception and recognition and idea conceptualization capability.Idea conversion capability is the ability that enterprises need to transform innovative concepts into specific innovative results and promote the release of data value,including big data management,big data analysis,data linking and fusion ability and organizational change capability.The idea diffusion capability is the ability that enterprise should have when applying innovative results to the market and realizing the date value,including customer value enhancement,customer interaction and digital service capability.The conclusions provide theoretical guidance for the construction of big data innovation capability for enterprise,and also provide inspiration for the practice of big data-driven enterprise innovation.
