Research on the Evolution Mechanism of Disruptive Technological Innovation Ecosystem from the Perspective of Strategic Niche Management Theory

Abstract:The success of disruptive technologies in transforming the existing socio-technological system is increasingly dependent on the innovation ecosystem in which they live.How to develop and nurture disruptive technologies through innovation ecosystem is an urgent question.Based on the theory and method of strategic niche management(SNM),a three-dimensional theoretical model of disruptive technological innovation ecosystem is constructed from the dimensions of logic,space and time,and the growth process of disruptive technology is explained through the evolution and operation of the innovation ecosystem.Taking new energy vehicles,a representative disruptive technology,as an example,this theoretical model is used to conduct practical research from two levels of behavior subject(architect,actor)and operation mechanism(networking),mainly analyzing:①The change of niche architect of the innovation ecosystem and its strategic behavior evolution,revealing the characteristics of the architect who dominates the construction of the innovation ecosystem at different niche stages in SNM;②The evolution of the niche network of the innovation ecosystem,to explore the evolution characteristics of the network structure,actors and their learning processes with niche transitions in SNM.
