Configuration of Industrial Innovation Ecosystem and Industrial Competitiveness——A Fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis

Abstract:The construction of industrial innovation ecosystem is an important way to enhance industrial competitiveness.This paper constructs an analysis framework for the industrial innovation ecosystem from three levels,including innovation subject,innovation environment,and function mechanism.Then,this paper takes the high-tech industries of 29 provinces in China as samples,and adopts the fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis(fsQCA)to explore the complex causal mechanism of the industrial innovation ecosystem driving high industrial competitiveness.The results are as follows.①R&D innovation subject is a necessary condition for high industrial competitiveness.②The mechanism of driving high industrial competitiveness is divided into four pathways,including R&D-operation driving path under the support of environment,subject-mechanism driving path,subject-environment driving path,R&D-operation dominant driving path.③The driving mechanism of non-high industrial competitiveness is divided into two pathways,including subject-technological environment restrictive path and R&D-operation-mechanism restrictive path.④There are some substitution relationships between the elements of innovation ecosystem to achieve high industrial competitiveness under certain conditions.
