Abstract:Being the core engine for industry reform,artificial intelligence was the strategic power to improve the high-quality development of manufacturing industry of China.From the perspective of technology innovation,we analyzed the compound effect between artificial intelligence and enhance of production efficiency of manufacturing industry through the mechanism of knowledge creation and knowledge spatial spillover.Based on the provincial panel data from 2012 to 2021 in four well-developed digital-manufacture regions,we used the frontier model and mediate effect model to verify the significance of compound effect proposed by the hypothesis above.The result reflected as follows:From the aspect of industry organization,manufacturing industry cluster plays an significant role in the application of artificial intelligence.On the other hand,from the aspect of regional level,we need to establish the proper regional institution and infrastructure which is called“soft-core institutional factor”,and improve the regional digitization and construct the new infrastructure.Therefore,we could release potential ability of artificial intelligence and promote the geographic embeddedness of artificial intelligence.
