Abstract:With the increasing emphasis on innovation-driven development and green sustainable development in China, the green multifactor productivity has attracted much more attention.Beijing and Shanghai,as the national science and technology innovation centers, have the responsibility to play a leading role in innovation and green development.Based on the concept of EAMFP proposed by OECD in September 2016,this article measured the development of EAMFP in Beijing and Shanghai by using data from 1996 to 2015.The results show that during the study period,EAMFP's contribution to the economic growth reached 41.27% in Beijing, slightly higher than 40.58% in Shanghai, indicating that both Beijing and Shanghai has been formed a strong strength in the area of green innovation and development.
