Study on Process Coupling Between Total Quality Management and Technological Innovation of Enterprise ——Analysis Based on Survey Data of 210 Enterprises in Beijing

Abstract:Both quality management and technology innovation are the key to establish the competitive advantage of enterprise,but they are often viewed separately in practice and lack of quantitative empirical research of coupling effect in theory.This paper constructed process coupling relationship model and coupling evaluation model between quality management and technology innovation based on the PDCA process theory.The questionnaire data of 210 enterprises in five different industries were selected to analyze the coupling coordination degree between quality management and technology innovation.The results showed that there was a effective process coupling effect between quality management and technological innovation,but the coupling coordination degree in different industries were different.The descending order of industries arranging by the differences was:electronics industry,pharmaceutical industry,automotive industry,food industry and machinery manufacturing industry.These industries,even though having differences,were all above the moderate coupling degree.The conclusions of the study provide theoretical and empirical support for the coupling and collaborative research of quality management and technology innovation.
