Abstract：This paper takes the listed companies of China's manufacturing industry from 2008 to 2017 as research objects to explore the impact of regional boundary expansion on innovation sustainability,and analyzes the regulatory effect of institution and enterprise property.We find that regional diversity has significant positive effects on innovation sustainability,while there is an inverted U-shaped relationship between regional dispersion and innovation sustainability;The institutionalization plays a positive role in the relationship between development of regional boundaries and innovation sustainability;There is no significant difference in continuous innovation between private and non-private enterprises during their regional boundaries.However,contrast to enterprises with high knowledge density,the innovation sustainability of low knowledge density enterprises is more obvious.Our research not only plays an important role in optimizing resource allocation and layout innovation strategy of enterprises,but also has practical enlightenment significance for the construction of innovation-oriented country.
