Mechanisms of Green Technological Innovation Driven by Governments' Market Regulations

Abstract:Based on relevant theories of microeconomics,this paper systematically analyses the causes of the market failure of enterprises green technological innovation and its impact on social welfare losses,including the multiple externalities of green technological innovation,the internality of green product consumption and barriers to entry of green technological innovation.On this basis,the mechanisms of price regulation,competition regulation and supply-demand regulation to reduce the external effects,information asymmetry and entry barriers of market in green technological innovation activities are analyzed.The results show that:①The impact of market price regulation on enterprises' R&D investment in green technological innovation depends on the ability of enterprises' green technological innovation,and the impact of regulation on social welfare depends on the average marginal revenue.②The impact of competition regulation on enterprises' green technological innovation should be systematically considered with the relationship between social cost and social welfare,and the regulation need to be adjusted dynamically for improving social welfare.③Government's direction guidance of green technological innovation,standard inversion and guidance of green consumption are effective supply-demand regulations,and the effect of supply-demand regulations,to a certain extent,depends on the effectiveness of the other two auxiliary regulations.
