Preliminary Study on the Evaluation Method of Scientific Research Institutes from the Perspective of Classified Evaluation——Taking the State Key Laboratory in Chemistry as an Example

Abstract:The classified evaluation has the advantages of reasonable application of indicators and convenient comparison of similar individuals,which is the direction of scientific evaluation reform promoted by the China government vigorously.In this paper,the state key laboratories are evaluated as a research case from the perspective of classified evaluation,using the methods of hierarchical clustering and multidimensional scale at the same time.The assessed laboratories are divided into three categories:basic research,applied basic research and applied research.Several indicators are used to evaluate them from different aspects such as scientific output,academic influence and scientific research acceptance.The evaluation results of each type of laboratories are presented,and the scientificity and rationality of the classified evaluation are also confirmed.
