Abstract:The paper analyzes the coupling and coordination mechanism of regional innovation and industrial structure optimization, constructs the index system and coupling coordination model of regional innovation and industrial structure optimization, and empirically analyzes the spatial-temporal evolution characteristics of coupling coordination between regional innovation and industrial structure optimization in Hunan from 2012 to 2017.The results show that the level of regional innovation and industrial structure optimization and upgrading in Hunan province fluctuated and increased from 2012 to 2017.There are obvious time differences in the coupling and coordinated development of regional innovation and industrial structure optimization in Hunan Province, and the coordination gradually improved. From the perspective of spatial dimension, the regional differences in coupling and coordination degree among cities and prefectures are gradually shrinking. The areas with coupling and coordination are concentrated and contiguous, while the areas with lower coordination degree are located in the northwest of the province.
