Abstract:The disappearance of China's demographic dividend has triggered a national talent war.How to retain talent is a difficult problem for governments,this study provides a reference for local governments to retain talent.This paper uses the logistic model to test the settlement intention of China's mobile talents for the first time through the Monitoring Data of Chinese Domestic Migrant,and perform tests on the robustness of the results.The results show that with the improvement of academic qualifications,the mobile talents gradually break through the influence of personal characteristics,mobile range and city characteristics.Personal characteristics such as gender,age,education level,type of household registration,marriage,place of household registration,as well as mobility range and city characteristics such as ratio of family monthly income to house price still have significant influence on college and undergraduate mobile talents,while graduate mobile talents are only affected by salary and the number of family members living together.Based on these findings,this paper proposes that local goverments should focus on mobile talents with high settlement intention,raise the wage level of mobile talents,assist mobile talents in resettling families,formulate a layered communication strategy for mobile talents,create a livable city environment for mobile talents,and ease the housing burden of mobile talents.
