Analysis on the Development Trend of Patents in Interdisciplinary Research Fields of Global Agriculture and New Generation of Information Technology

Abstract:In recent years,the new generation of information technology has developed rapidly and widely penetrated into all industries.The cross integration of“agriculture + new generation of information technology”has become an important development trend.With the help of PatSnap global patent search database,this paper searches the domestic and foreign patent data from 1985 to 2020 with the theme of“agriculture + new generation of information technology”.Starting from the trend of patent applications and patent competitiveness of major countries,this paper considers the quality indicators such as application and acceptance volume,patent proportion of invention and effective invention,number of citations and patent value,combined with the technology evolution trend of secondary field,this paper makes a comparative analysis on the quantity and quality of patents in the field of“agriculture + new generation of information technology”at home and abroad,and studies the layout and development of this field in China.The results show that in terms of quantity,the number of patents in the field of“agriculture + new generation of information technology”in China has ranked among the top in the world.However,there still exist some problems about quality,such as low patent content,incomplete overseas layout,and insufficient role in supporting economic and social development and so on.To this end,this paper puts forward opinions and suggestions from the aspects of strengthening the research and judgment of patent development direction,strengthening the global planning layout of patents and the cultivation and incubation of high-quality patents.
