Abstract:Under the realistic background of promoting the integration of domestic and foreign trade,whether participating in vertical specialization can promote the improvement of green total factor productivity in China? Firstly,this paper explains the mechanism among vertical specialization and green total factor productivity.Then,based on the data of manufacturing industry from 2003 to 2016 to make an empirical test.The results show the followings.①The level of vertical specialization can improve its green total factor productivity significantly,and there is a significant innovation intermediary effect.②The increase of pollution will reduce the promotion effect of vertical specialization on green total factor productivity.③The promotion effect of vertical specialization on green total factor productivity shows industry scale heterogeneity.
