Abstract:In the context of the prominent networked characteristics of global innovation activities,this paper selects the world's top ten innovative city clusters,and measures Shanghai's position in the world's top ten innovative city cluster networks from the perspective of social networks,which will help to direction for further innovation breakthroughs in Shanghai.Using the patent texts of the world's top ten innovative city clusters of the United States Patent and Trademark Office as the data source,a multi-attribute node innovation network of cities,subdivided technical fields,and typical enterprises is established,and the status of Shanghai's network evolution is measured and analyzed.The paper finds that after Shanghai's integration into the global innovation network,its overall position has steadily improved.In terms of subdivided technical fields,Shanghai's network status in important areas such as integrated circuits has also been rising significantly.In addition,some typical enterprises with network advantages have appeared in Shanghai.Shanghai's position in the innovation network continues to rise along the path from“marginal”to“follower”to“leader”.
