Evaluation on the Technology Growth of Virtual Reality in China, the United States,Japan,South Korea and Germany

Abstract:As an important part of the new generation of information technology,virtual reality technology has now become a hot spot of global technology competition.Conducting the evaluation of the growth of virtual reality technology in China,the United States,Japan,South Korea and Germany can help China clarify the technology gap and make up for the technology shortcomings.Based on the 2011—2020 virtual reality technology patent data of each country,the evaluation analysis is carried out by using the entropy and TOPSIS method.Under the guidance of the“two vertical and two horizontal”evaluation framework,a technology growth evaluation index system is built with the core of technology growth strength,technology growth vitality,technology growth effectiveness,and technology growth potential.The study discovered that the patent inventor is the most important factor in enhancing technological growth.The overall level of virtual reality technological growth shows a three-stage ladder and two stages,whereas the dimensional level of virtual reality technological growth shows obvious differences in growth trends across countries and dimensions.
