Running Water is Never Stale or Stick to Established Conventions: Impact of Stability of Enterprise R&D Personnel on Innovation Quality

Abstract:The quality of innovation is an important internal circulation kinetic energy and strong support to lead the sustainable growth of China's economy and maintain China's economic security.In order to improve innovation capability, it is urgent to guide transformation of enterprise innovation strategy from quantitative innovation to quality innovation.How to improve quality of enterprise innovation has become focus of attention of all parties at this stage.This paper uses the data of Chinese listed companies in computer communications and electronic equipment manufacturing and pharmaceutical manufacturing industries from 2011 to 2019 as research samples to explore nonlinear effect of stability of corporate R&D personnel on innovation quality, and further explain moderating effects of knowledge base diversity and external R&D cooperation.The results show that stability of R&D personnel has an inverted U-shape effect on innovation quality.Both non-related diversity of knowledge base and academic cooperation strengthen inverted U-shape effect between stability of R&D personnel and innovation quality.These results provide important reference value for enterprises to optimize allocation of R&D personnel and improve quality of innovation.
