Abstract:The emergence of generative artificial intelligence has brought new challenges to the traditional innovation paradigm,triggered discussions on innovation management theory and innovation practice.Therefore,it is necessary to examine and respond to the innovative changes brought about by the foundation model.First,based on innovation practice and comparative analysis,this paper explores the change of R&D innovation model from traditional artificial intelligence to generative artificial intelligence,and identifies the core characteristics of foundation model innovation.Second,through theoretical analysis,this paper explores the impact of foundation model on knowledge management,scientific research,technological innovation and industrial innovation,and explains the basic logic and core viewpoints.Third,the future research directions are proposed from five aspects:internal innovation rules of foundation model,knowledge management innovation,scientific research organization method,technological innovation paradigm,and industrial innovation ecosystem.This paper not only helps to clarify the innovation challenges brought by foundation model,but also have implications for accelerating the theoretical research on foundation model innovation.
