Abstract：National S&T security is an important part of the overall national security concept(ONSC),as an important unconventional guarantee,physical and technical foundation to support national security,which is a national factor and power“multiplier”to safeguard the security of other important fields.Through the systematic study of the relevant content of national S&T security in ONSC,the development context,status and role of national S&T security,main content,can be deeply understood,which is good for recognizing the connotation of national S&T security clearer.Further analysis the significance of national S&T security from the theoretical dimension,historical perspective,practical role,world development and other aspects,to enhance the understanding of safeguarding national S&T security.Finally,this paper puts forward suggestions on the overall promotion of national S&T security and development,the establishment of a regular national S&T security monitoring and early warning system,the strengthening of national S&T security laws and regulations,the strengthening of international cooperation,and the promotion of national S&T security discipline construction.
