Abstract:This study uses a sample of 1098 papers from the Web of Science Core Collection published from 2003 to 2023,employing bibliometrics and visualization methods to analyze the international research hotspots and evolution trends in science and technology ethics. The results showed that overall, international ethical research on science and technology showed a continuous upward trend, roughly going through four development stages. The main international research forces of science and technology ethics are distributed in the United States and the United Kingdom, and China ranks in the top ten, although it is relatively low in the rankings, its influence is also constantly increasing. In the past 20 years, research hotspots have focused on three main themes:the first one is basic theoretical ethical research on science and technology;the second one is ethical research on traditional healthcare and health policies;the third is research on the identification and governance of ethical risks in emerging science and technologies.
