Abstract:This paper builds a system dynamic model to analyse the transportation and energy consumption of the city.Firstly, it builds an integrated system that includes many sub-modules such as population, economic, transportation, etc.It can simulate the real transportation and calculate the energy consumption.Secondly, taking Beijing as an empirical target, it analyses its population details, trip generate and modal choice during the period of 2000—2020.Finally, it simulates the trend of travel structure and energy consumption of Beijing, and gives some policy suggestions for the city development.
