Abstract：This paper investigates the impact of financial development on technological innovation from the overall perspective and the firm s perspective by utilizing the panel vector auto regressive model .This paper also separates the data of the Pearl River Delta Region for further analysis.The empirical results showed that the financial development variables have significant positive effects on the technological innovation variables.Meanwhile,we found that financial develop-ment could stimulate govern-ment and enterprises to input more in ST expenditure.ST innovation and ST innovation com promote each other s development.
