Abstract：Low speed electric vehicle is a special economic phenomenon in China.Low speed electric vehicle develops rapidly since 2005.Currently,the development of low speed electric vehicle industry in China has entered the key stage of industrialization.Because of the characteristics of disruptive product,low speed electric vehicle is usually attributed to disruptive innovation pointing to traditional automobile.Based on disruptive innovation theory,connecting with current situation of low speed electric vehicle industry in China,this paper analyzes the challenges on disruptive innovation theory brought by low speed electric vehicle industry.The analysis indicated that low speed electric vehicle is not a disruptive product to traditional automobile.
