Abstract:Manufacturing company services transformation have received considerable attention in the academia and the business circles.However, whether and under which circumstances service delivery of the manufacturing companies as means of performance improvement is desirable and contributes to firm performance is still a subject of debate in research and practice.To address this issue, the author uses field data from managers of manufacturing companies and extend prior work by developing and testing a contingency-based model.The empirical results confirmed the developed framework.The study found that the rich degree of socio-technical capacity or the possibility obtained in the system network will strengthen the relationship between service delivery and business performance of manufacturing companies.
