Research on Relationship of R&D Investment and Firm Performance Based on Moderating Effect of Human Capital of Top Management Team

Abstract:The paper studies on moderating effects of human capital of top management team on the relationship between R&D investment and firm performance based on the theory of dynamic capabilities and high order management. The results show that R&D investment has a significant positive relationship with firm performance;The depth of human capital of top management team has a significant positive moderating effects on the relationship between R&D investment and firm performance;The scope of human capital of top management team has a significant positive moderating effects on the relationship between R&D investment and firm performance. The paper deepen the research of the relationship between R&D investment and firm performance and provide valuable managerial implication for the construction of top management team and the operation of the theory of dynamic capabilities
