Abstract:This paper proposes that employment relationship is associated with employees' explicit and implicit knowledge sharing through two different mechanisms.Employment relationship is related to explicit knowledge sharing mainly through social exchange.The effect of employment relationship on implicit knowledge sharing is mainly through organizational psychological ownership.Besides emphasizing social exchange with employees, organizations should foster employees to form a positive organizational psychological ownership.
