Abstract：Collaborative innovation has been always performed by government-driven initiative in China,which in turn has set aside market organization experience.edX as an open source online learning platform,which is a disruptive innovation occurring in higher education,provides an important reference to China's shortage.This article defines collaborative innovation and analyzes the development and collaborative operation framework of edX platform.The research shows that:collaborative innovation does not simply emphasize resource sharing,but also an interaction between actors' division of labor and coordination;the establishment of relationship networks between actors,including individual and group interests,is at the centre of collaborative innovation;the network structure which has a nonprofit organization with high degree of betweenness centrality,is the main network form of collaborative innovation;and structural hole model is one of the effective ways for shaping collaborative innovation network.
