The Influence Analysis of Agricultural Credit on the Agricultural Technology Efficiency

Abstract:Stochastic production function analysis,combined with technology advances included and excluded C-D Production function,was employed to analyze the agricultural technology efficiency and the influence of agricultural credit on agricultural technology efficiency among six regions in China by using the panel data of 31 provinces during 1979—2012.The results showed that Chinese agricultural technology efficiency has vast growth potential with the average agricultural technology efficiency of just 0.691.To be more specific,the level of agricultural technology efficiency varies greatly among the six regions,with the highest(0.940)in the Northeast and the lowest(0.662)in the Middle south.Besides,from the point of the whole country,the contribution of agricultural credit to agricultural technology efficiency in China is not prominent,the same case can also be found in the Northeast,Southwest,middle south and Northwest,while the reverse is found in northern China and eastern China.
