Abstract：Firstly,different countries levels of intra-industry trade were measured by using GL and AR method,and then the trade patterns were divided into low-quality vertical horizontal patterns and high-quality vertical.The estimates show that the intra-industry trade of Chinas equipment manufacturing industry is in the rapid development,but still based on low-quality vertical patterns.There is a big gap compared with developed countries.Secondly,DEA-Malmquist index was used to measure the rate of technological progress in equipment manufacturing industry,and the effect of the technological progress of Chinas equipment manufacturing was studied through Tobit model and pulse function.The results show that the effects of technological progress of intra-industry trade of Chinas equipment manufacturing industry are significantly positive,but there is a gap among different industries
