Measurement and Influencing Factors of Green Total Factor Productivity of Marine Economy in China

Abstract:The paper utilizes the entropy method to built “resources and environment depletion index” to describe the situation about resource and environment.Furthermore,the green Malmquist productivity indexes of China with the 11 coastal areas are presented together with the dynamic decomposition for green TFP marine economic growth,and finally the Tobit model based on panel data has been developed to study the effect of the green TFP at different factors.Research conclusions are shown as follows.The dependence of economic growth on resources and level of environmental pollution varies with the coastal areas.The dominant factor of growth is technological progress.Technical efficiency and scale efficiency shows some deterioration,but the effect on economic growth is not significant.The ocean industrial structure,ocean technical level and ocean management system have significantly positive effects on green TFP.The industrial scale of coastal areas has significantly negative effect on green TFP
