Abstract：The development of cloud computing has brought new challenges to the enforcement of copyright law.Providing works through cloud computing has some similarities with leasing works,but the right of lease is not appropriate to regulate the former act.The right of lease plays a role as a part of right of distribution or as a subsidiary right of it.If the act of providing works through cloud computing is regulated under the right of lease,it is substantially regulated under the system of right of distribution.China has chosen the system of right of communication to the public to regulate interactive communication of work through network.Consequently,it is contradictory to regulate the act of providing works through cloud computing under the system of right of distribution,as providing works through cloud computing has little differences from providing works through network.The act of providing works through cloud computing should be regulated under the right of communication through information network.
