Abstract：This paper proposes the method of measuring rationalization and advancement of the industrial structure and calculates these two aspects of Shanxi province.Then the quantile regression method is applied to analyze the impact on economic growth.The results show that the rationalization of Shanxi provinces industrial structure is volatile and not high.The advancement of Shanxi industrials arising due to the improvement of the third industrys productivity and share.Industrial structures rationalization has an obvious promoting effect on economic growth while the effect of advancement is not significant.Not only the rationalization but the advancement has a relationship with the speed of the economic growth
