Abstract：This paper designs the selection procedure and organization structure of governments support for generic technology research.First,it analyzes domestic related literature,classifies all selection methods,and presents US and UK experience of selection procedure,organization structure,and selection methods.Secondly,it designs the selection procedure,proposes to adopt appropriate selection methods based on different policy goal,and proposes to carry out detailed selection through three steps,i.e.characteristics analysis,priority assessment,and necessity evaluation.Thirdly,it designs the organization structure based on the basic mode of decision-execution-supervision
